Lot Description

An early twentieth century Arts & Crafts silver bowl, of hammered bulbous form with wavy rim above a continuous band of embossed circle motifs, and raised above three large paw feet. Hallmarked Barker Brothers (Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker), Chester 1910, also with impressed retailer's mark for Lawson & Son, Brighton. Maximum rim diameter measures 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm), height 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 21.77 ozt (677 grams).

The bowl appears in good overall condition, displaying some general wear including surface scratches and tarnishing in keeping with the age and use. Heavier scratches and marks visible to some areas, also minor dints. The hallmarks are clear and legible, slight rubbing to maker's mark but still legible.
