Lot Description

An Edwardian silver goblet, of typical form with applied oval emblem to one side for 'London Athletic Club', and raised above a knopped stem and spreading foot, both with beaded borders. Hallmarked Bert & Co., London 1907. Height measures 7 1/8 inches (18 cm), weight 7.28 ozt (226.4 grams).

The goblet displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some heavier tarnishing and staining to the interior, possibly once gilded. Some slight rubbing but the hallmarks are still clear and legible, also impressed maker's name to the underside.
