A George II silver hot water pot, the pear shaped form with engraved armorial, partly fluted and rising to the domed hinged cover with gadrooned border and conforming decoration and wrythen finial. Hallmarked London 1759, the maker probably John Robinson II. Height measuring 10 1/2 inches (26.5 cm), weight 20 ozt (634 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Minor dints and bumps. Later replacement handle. A little rubbing with loss of definition. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark partly worn. Part maker's mark only to the cover.
