Lot Description
A matched pair of Edwardian silver open salts, of cauldron shape and raised on three stepped hoof feet, hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, one Birmingham, one Chester, both 1907. Together with various other Victorian and later condiments to include a circular openwork salt with blue glass liner, hallmarked Birmingham 1897, a mustard pot with gadroon decoration and glass liner, Birmingham 1899, a later mustard pot also with liner, Birmingham 1918, a pair of Edwardian pepper pots of lobed outline and a pair of small glass pots with pierced lids marked 'sterling'. Gross weighable silver 9.03 ozt (281 grams).

In varied condition, all pieces in the lot displaying general wear including surface scratches, contact marks, slight knocks or dints and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier spots or patches of tarnishing to some areas. Some slight rubbing but the hallmarks and maker's marks are mainly clear and legible.
