An early twentieth century large silver caster, the bellied form with applied girdle and bayonet fitted pierced cover, hallmarked to the body only, Zachariah Barraclough & Sons, Chester 1915, height measuring 8 inches (20 cm). Together with a late Victorian silver embossed caster with flame finial, hallmarked Lee & Wigfull (Henry Wigfull), Sheffield 1896, height measuring 7 inches (18 cm). Gross weight 13.8 ozt (432 grams). (2).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. No hallmarks present to the lid of the early twentieth century example. No engravings. The Victorian example appears rubbed with a number of dents including to the base and consequently wobbles, a number of soft solder repairs including to the finial. Hallmarks where present are clear and legible.
