Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver chocolate pot of plain tapering form, having a faceted spout with hinged lid terminal and a stained wood scroll handle, the domed cover with fluted thumb piece and also with stained wood finial. Hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1911. Maximum height including finial measures 7 5/8 inches (19.5 cm), gross weight 19.64 ozt (610.9 grams).

Condition Report
The chocolate pot appears in fair to good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous heavier marks and scratches are visible, also some slight dints/bumps. The top of the stained wood section of the handle is a little loose as one of the pins is missing. Both the hinged covers appear in working order and are struck with corresponding part hallmarks. The main hallmarks are clear and legible.
