Lot Description

Two similar George III silver pepper pots, each raised on a reeded foot ring, to the tapered bowl and pierced lid with further reeded detail. Hallmarked Soloman Hougham, London 1806 and ?T, London 1810. Height 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm), griss weight 3.84 ozt (119.6 grams). (2).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One with later monogram, EJ. Both pepper pots wobble slightly on their bases. Slight, shallow dents. Both lids tight fits. One lid with lion passant mark, one lid unmarked.
