Lot Description

A selection of mostly Victorian silver cruet items, to include a pair of open salts, a pair of napkin rings, two single napkin rings, a pepper pot, a spoon, together with a cased set of silver plated butter knives and a Russian pre-revolutionary commemorative teaspoon. Pair of salts hallmarked Walter & John Barnard, London 1877. Weight (excluding cased knives) 8.19 ozt (254.7 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Butter knives with silver ferrules. Handles appear deteriorated with cracks and crazing. Moderate wear to the plating. One of the ball feet to one of the open salts is slightly indented. Significant discolouration to the salts, black spot pitting. Spoons show slight dents, one possibly altered. Pepper pot shows slight dents to the foot rim, finial deficient. Pepper pot hallmarked London, 1959.
