An Art Nouveau silver mount, deficient of glass liner, the open work form with grotesque decoration of interwoven masks and birds amidst stylised scrolling foliage. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons, London 1898. Height measuring 3 1/4 inches (8 cm), weight 3.3 ozt (104 grams).
