Lot Description
An early twentieth century Hanau silver dish ring, the circular form with beaded rims enclosing pierced decoration with birds, fruiting vine and scroll motifs surrounding twin opposed vacant cartouche. Struck with three Hanau marks attributed to Neresheimer & Co., also hallmarked John George Piddington with London import marks for 1905. Top diameter measures 6 3/4 inches (17.2 cm) and bottom 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm), height 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 12.22 ozt (380 grams).

Condition Report
In fair to good overall condition, the dish ring displays general wear including surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some pitting marks. Visible seam line. Remnants of polish. Some loss of surface detail to the decoration. The hallmarks and other struck marks are clear and legible.
