Lot Description

An American Art Nouveau vase, the shaped form with stylised floral embossing, engraved personal inscription and motto referring to the Gridiron Club. Stamped to the underside Galt & Bro, sterling, numbered 1952. Height measuring 12 inches (30 cm), weight 13.9 ozt (434 grams).

The vase displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous heavy dents and bumps, therefore also wobbles due to  dents to the foot. Appears to have previously been attached to a base with part of the fixture visible to the underside. American marks to the underside are worn.
