Lot Description
A Victorian silver mounted scent bottle, the diamond cut glass body of ovoid form, oblique gadrooning to the silver neck and hinged lid, the lid also decorated with floral motifs and opening to reveal a clear glass stopper.
Hallmarked Stuart Clifford, London 1887. Height measures 5 3/8 inches (13.6 cm).

Condition Report
The scent bottle displays some general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Remnants of polish and tarnishing visible to the silver mounts. Likely repair or replacement to the clasp on the lid but it does still open and close. Also a possible solder repair near to the hinge. Several small edge chips and nibbles throughout the glass body. Larger chip to the foot rim. The hallmarks, located to the neck, are clear and legible.
