Lot Description

A late Victorian silver plated souvenir vesta case for Jersey, set with a jasper shield and engraved 'EPW 1900 Pilot Hull'. Together with two agate, one dyed, and base metal boxes, a further mother of pearl and base metal box and an agate set cross pendant. (5).


The vesta case is believed to have belonged to an Edward Peaker Ward, a pilot, of 15 Middleton St, Hull.

Varied state. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Plating worn. A hole to the centre of the hardstone, possibly a part deficient.  Suspension missing to the pendant.
