Lot Description

A pair of Victorian silver casters, the inverted pear form bodies with wrythen fluted embossing and the detachable pierced covers conforming in decoration. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons, London 1892. Height measuring 6 1/4 inches (15.5 cm), gross weight 9.4 ozt (295 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There are a number of dents to each caster including significant compression to causing a lopsided appearance and each to wobble. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
