A late Victorian silver candlesnuffer tray, the waisted oblong form with central initial engraving and applied scrolling shell and acanthus leaf rim. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1900, numbered 8741. Length measuring 10 inches (25.5 cm), weight 6.3 ozt (196 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
A little rubbing with loss of definition. The feet have compressed slightly into the body and made minor imprints, visible to the main surface. Hallmarks and maker's mark partly rubbed.
