Lot Description
A Victorian silver sugar bowl, the decagonal form with gothic engraving, twin scrolling handles and standing on a decagonal base interspersed with foliate details. Hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd, Birmingham 1850, Victorian registration mark for April 1851. Maximum height measuring 4 1/4 inches (11 cm), weight 13.6 ozt (425 grams).

The sugar bowl displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A little rubbing to the definition and a few minor dints. No visible personal engravings. Worn gilding to the interior. Hallmarks partly distorted but clearly legible.
