A late 19th/early 20th century Life Guard's helmet, with cut steel and enamelled garter star badge and Royal motto surmounted by royal crown to front, floral rosette junctions at either side of the interwoven open link chin strap, 13" (33cm) high, within original painted metal travel box, with applied metal labels 'Rogers & Company, 8 New Burlington Street, Saville Row, London', and 'J.D. Young- The Life Guards' etc.

Condition Report
Box has dents to side and top, and wear with areas of paint loss. The helmet is in good condition with only age related wear and marks. Horse hair plume missing and top fixing button to pommel missing.
