A diamond and gem-set butterfly brooch. The oval-shape green paste and blister pearl body, to the vari-shape sapphire, ruby and diamond wings with opal and split pearl accents. Brooch fitting with import marks for Birmingham. Length 4.5cms. Weight 9.2gms.

Overall condition good. Bright well matched gemstones. Green paste central stone. Possible replacement brooch fitting. Antennae stamped 585. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
