A late 19th century gold micro-mosaic brooch. Of circular outline, the tesserae depicting the Vatican, within blue glass and rope-twist surround. Diameter 4cms. Weight 16gms.

The lot is in fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Wear to the gilt finish. Base metal replacement pin. The blue glass surround is cracked into near quarters. Tesseri intact.
