A mid 20th century black opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon, within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, to the plain band. Approximate opal dimensions: 9.5 by 7.5 by 3mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Weight 3.2gms.

Overall condition good. The black opal displays flashes of green and blue, there is one small dull patch. The single cut diamonds are well matched, the hoop has worn a little thin. Stamped Pt & 18ct.
