Lot Description
ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Precision wrist watch. Circa 1956. Reference 6427, serial 139812. Signed manual wind calibre 1215. Cream dial with gilt baton hour markers, turquoise circle to the centre. Engine turned bezel, stainless steel case fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle. 34mm. Please be aware that this watch has had significant aftermarket intervention.

<li> Manual wind movement is currently functioning.
<li> Movement seems to show multiple medium chips and scratches with heavy tarnishing and pitting.
<li> Dial has been refinished and appears to show tarnishing and discolouration to the hour markers.
<li> Hands seem to have light scratches and tarnishing, visible under a 10x loupe.
<li> Glass appears to have been replaced with plastic, which is heavily scratched.
<li> Case appears to have several light scuffs and scratches, with tarnishing and chips to the edge.
<li> Crown screws down and currently functions correctly, the surface appears to have medium scuffs and tarnishing and is loose.
<li> Case back is not original, with reference 6426, shows heavy scratches with small chips and pitting.
<li> Strap appears to be in good general condition.
<li> Pin buckle has light scratching. <p>
