Lot Description
A mid 20th century platinum, diamond and sapphire cluster ring. The oval-shape sapphire, within an alternating old-cut diamond and circular-shape sapphire scalloped surround. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Weight 3.8gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized, obliterating the hallmarks, maker's mark W.G&S. The diamonds appear bright. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Diamonds vary in colour with yellow through brownish yellow tints. The principal sapphire is a medium deep blue hue, moderate colour zoning. Minor abrasion. Slight wear to claws. Length of ring head 1.3cms. Ring size L 1/2.
