Lot Description
A late 19th century silver and gold diamond, ruby and shell cameo pomander. Designed as a horses hoof, the shell cameo carved to depict a lady in profile, to the ruby buckle and diamond point pomander with ruby screw top. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts. Length of pomander 3.5cms. Weight 36.4gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size/setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour/clarity assessment. Light nibbles and small chips to some. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma. For your convenience we have applied this notice to lots which contain rubies or jadeite originating in Burma, or those of indeterminate origin. Length of chain surmount 6cms. Surmount is later added, together with the green and purple gem accents.
