Condition Report
Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general wear. The panel seem very slightly misshaped, but does not obviously effect its appearance. Some of the tubes in the chenier gallery have come away from on side. The principal diamond has a slight draw of colour, with scattered inclusion visible without magnification. Small cluster of natural trigons to the surface, just off-centre. Estimated total diamond weight of outer diamonds 1.70cts. Diamonds individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. Light nicks and chips can be seen to some. Fine feathers and fractures can be seen under magnification. Repair work to one area of the brooch near the clasp, showing discolouration. Width of brooch 1.5cms.
