A mid 20th century platinum and 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. The circular opal cabochon, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the plain band. Approximate opal dimensions: 7.8 by 7.9 by 3.2mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.65ct. Weight 3.8gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general wear. The opal has play-of-colour visible throughout displaying green, blue and violet and some red colours. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size/setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour/clarity assessment. Stamped 18ct. Ring size R 1/2. Ring band slightly thinned to band of band where it has been resized.
