A mid 19th century 9ct gold amber brooch. The oval-shape modified amber panel, to the scrolling surround, to the bead accents. Length 5.4cms. Weight 15.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The pin is a later base metal replacement. The modified amber is transparent to translucent and has a dark brownish orange to whitish cloudy orange. There is some slight crazing with typical inclusions, with abrasion scuffs and bruises to the surface. Engraved 9ct.
