Lot Description

A Regency George IV brass inlaid rosewood credenza, the projecting central section with foliate brass inlay and stringing over conforming frieze, the ogee arch glazed door enclosing shelves, between turned columns with brass capitals, the shallower side sections of conforming design, on plinth base, label verso of Miller & Beatty Ltd, Grafton St., Dublin, 74" x 18.25" x 39.25" high, (188cm x 46.5cm x 99,5cm).

General wear to top - centre section with wrinkling to crossbanding, some dark scratches. Lower tops both with more serious veneer cracks/splits, some full with - needs filling. Right hand side of plinth has bee diagonally reduced. Left side of plinth is missing. Some minor veneer losses to corners of front plinth. Brass inlay has lifted.
