An early 20th century gold sapphire and coral three-stone ring. The oval-shape sapphire, to the coral cabochon sides, each with a collet setting, to the bifurcated shoulders and tapered band. Weight 7.1gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The sapphire is a patchy slightly greenish-blue, to almost colourless, with angular colour zoning, and fairly good clarity. The condition of the sapphire is fair with abrasion and nicks to some facet edges that can be seen with the naked eye. The coral are fairly well matched with a orangey-pink hue, one has a pale greyish patch to the edge, both have dark polyp hole noticeable with the naked eye and characteristic growth markings. Each coral cabochon is in good to fair condition with slight abrasion and scratches more visible under magnification. Approximate ring size U. Prospective buyers are advised that several countries prohibit altogether the importation of property containing such materials, and that other countries require a permit (e.g., a CITES permit) from the relevant regulatory agencies in the countries of exportation as well as importation.The sale of ivory, tortoiseshell and other materials derived from endangered species is limited by CITES regulations to ‘worked’ pieces dating prior to 1947, and the export of such pieces outside the EU would require an export licence to be obtained from DEFRA.
