A mid 19th century 18ct gold garnet brooch. Designed as two graduated scalloped panels, decorated with foil-back garnets and cannetille detail, suspending an articulated fringe. Length 7.8cms. Weight 12.2gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The pendant may detach from the main panel. The cabochon garnets are well matched with a dark slightly purplish-red hue with strong saturation and typical inclusions. The circular-shape garnets have a slightly varied range of colour with pinkish-red to purplish-red hues and strong saturation, typical inclusions can be seen under magnification.
