A carnelian seal. The rectangular-shape carnelian panel, carved to depict a pelican feeding its young from its own breast, within a 'Nec Aspera Terrent' script and wreath surround with helmet and metal accents, to the scrolling mount and pedestal. Length 2.8cms. Weight 14.6gms.
