Lot Description

A Victorian silver hot water pot, the pear-shaped form partly fluted, with beaded and foliate embellished spout and standing on a circular footed base. Hallmarked William Hutton & Sons (Edward Hutton), London 1893. Height measuring 9 1//4 inches (23.5 cm), weight 16.1 ozt (502 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

A number of shallow dents. Some patina to the surface. The body is a little compressed into the foot, and therefore slightly lopsided. The finial also with similar damage. Hallmarks worn but legible.
