A George III silver tea caddy, the oval and bulbous form with trailing foliate engraved band, pricked borders to the domed and shaped lid, the whole standing on four ball feet. Hallmarked Alice & George Burrows II, London 1810. Height including finial 6 inches (15 cm), weight 14.1 ozt (440 grams).

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. No key present. No personal engravings. Probable repair to the join of the finial. Hallmarks clear and legible, maker's mark partly obscured, part hallmarks to the lid rubbed.
