Lot Description

A 1930's silver tureen & cover of plain circular form to a footed base. Hallmarked Asprey & Co Ltd., London 1939. Maximum diameter measures 9 5/8 inches (24.5cm), weight 36.37 ozt (1131.3 grams).

The tureen appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear in keeping with the age and use, including surface scratches and nicks, contact marks and some light tarnishing. Also some slight surface dints. Some areas display much heavier and denser scratches and marks, especially the interior base of the tureen. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also part hallmarks to lid.
