Lot Description
An Edwardian silver sugar bowl and matching cream jug, each of fluted oval form with an applied reeded rim, further reed decoration to the handles and raised on a stepped oval footed base, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., London 1906. Together with a pair of silver plated sugar tongs with claw grips. Weight (excluding tongs) 14.23 ozt (442.6 grams).

Condition Report
Both pieces appear in fairly good condition, displaying general wear including surface scratches, contact marks, slight knocks to foot rims and tarnishing, all in keeping with the age and use. Some heavier scratches and scuffs to inside of sugar bowl. Slight gilt finish remains to inside of jug. Some rubbing to hallmarks but still legible. Matching part hallmarks to swing handle of sugar bowl.
