An early twentieth century pierced silver basket, the oval form entirely with foliate scroll piercing to the applied floral rim, similarly decorated twin handles and standing on four scroll bracket feet. Hallmarked London 1919, maker's mark indistinct. Maximum length measuring 9 1/2 inches (24 cm), weight 14.3 ozt (446 grams).

Condition Report
The basket displays general scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing and would benefit form a clean and polish. The rim has broken to one place. Minor dents. No personal engravings. Hallmarks rubbed but legible, maker's mark almost completely erased.
