Lot Description

A George V Irish silver swing handled sugar basket, the body with bow and swag decoration on a scrolling foliate pierced ground above a leaf border and further pierced spreading foot with gadrooned rim and with blue glass liner. Hallmarked West & Son, Dublin 1910. Weight exclusive of liner 4.26 ozt (132.46 grams), height inclusive of handle 6 1/4 (15.75 cm).

Overall good condition. Hallmarks are clear and legible. Swing handle is on good order although slightly stiff. Piercing appears fine with no distortion. Some remnants of polish with piercing and embossed areas. Glass liner in good condition with no chips or scratches.
