Lot Description

A George III small silver dish, of circular form with an applied floral and foliate border and crested shield cartouche. Hallmarked Sheffield 1816, maker's mark partly distorted but possibly reads 'RC', also with engraved initials to the underside. Maximum diameter measures 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm), weight 4.3 ozt (133.8 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Total lot weight: No

The dish displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing to some areas. The interior was likely once gilded but this is now very faded. Some heavier marks, slight dints and pitting marks visible to the interior. Some partial distortion to maker's mark but most of the hallmarks are clear and legible.
