A Sheffield plate center piece, the tapered square-shape base, raised on lion paw feet, with central tapered column supporting a bowl and four arms, with acanthus leaf detail throughout and later pressed glass central bowl. Height (including glass bowl) 12 3/8 inches (31.4 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One support for central bowl is broken, with signs of old repair, now broken again. Central support and two arms slightly wobbly. No maker's mark. The glass bowl is later. Arms show slight bends and small dents. Wear to the silver coating, notably to the bases of the feet and to areas of acanthus scrolling. Approximate diameter of central bowl mount 6 3/8 inches. Approximate diameter of smaller arm mounts 2 1/2 inches.
