A pierced continental dish of oblong form, embossed tavern scene to the centre depicting a musician playing a violin and further figures dancing and drinking, within a wide pierced border further decorated with pendant, swag and garland motifs. Marked '800', also with probable French import weevil mark. Maximum length measures 14 1/4 inches (36.2 cm), weight 18.56 ozt (577.4 grams).
