An Austrian glass vase with floral plique-à-jour mount, by George Adam Scheide, the ovoid cross-section vase, within an openwork plique-a-jour floral mount with cloisonne rim. Maker's mark for George Adam Scheide. Austrian assay mark. Height 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm).

Fair overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Dirt and discolouration to the glass. A couple of the plique-a-jour leaves have panels of enamel deficient. Several of the panels have cracks, few with associated chips. Slight dents to some of the wire supports.
