Lot Description

A late Victorian silver bonbon dish, the shaped oval form with embossed floral scroll rim, having geometric pierced sides with ribbon tied scroll motifs to the centre, and raised on a pierced oval foot with conforming decoration, hallmarked William Comyns & Sons., London 1891, maximum length measuring 5 7/8 inches (15 cm). Together with a set of 1930's silver coffee spoons, hallmarked Duncan & Scobbie, Sheffield 1938. Combined weight 5.09 ozt (158.4 grams).

Fairly good overall condition, all the pieces displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use. Some slight dints to the dish. The spoon bowls have all faired quite well. All the hallmarks are clear and legible.
