Lot Description
A Georgian toddy ladle, unmarked, with twisted whalebone handle and inset coin to the oval bowl, length measuring 14 inches (35.5 cm). Together with three pairs of sugar nips comprising a Newcastle Fiddle pattern example with hallmarks distorted but possibly dated 1833, a late Victorian Queen's pattern pair, Sheffield 1898 and an Edwardian Art Nouveau pair, Sheffield 1906, a pair of plated asparagus servers and various tea and coffee spoons to include William IV and Victorian examples, a set of five Edwardian coffee spoons and a cased 1930's reproduction silver-gilt anointing spoon. Weight not including ladle and servers 10.56 ozt (328.5 grams).

Condition Report
In varied state, however all the pieces in the lot display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use. Some dints and bumps. Surface wear and loss of detail to the coin of the ladle and also around the rim. Also some loss of staining to the handle. Some of the spoon bowls are in fairly poor condition and a little misshapen. Some rubbing and partial distortion but the hallmarks are mainly legible.
