Lot Description

An Edwardian silver snuff box, of rectangular form with slightly curved base, having scroll engraved hinged lid, with circular vacant cartouche, hallmarked Adie & Lovekin Ltd., Birmingham 1905, length 5 cm. Together with an Edwardian cased silver thimble, hallmarked James Fenton & Co., Birmingham 1901, a sugar scoop with moulded horse hoof handle, struck with Dutch single sword mark and a selection of silver and continental spoons to include an example with initialled handle, hallmarked Arthur Price & Co., Birmingham 1966, etc. Gross weight 6.68 ozt (207.5 grams).

Pill box- Overall good condition. Hallmarks appear clear and legible with matching part hallmarks. Light surface wear and scratches commensurate with age and use, two shallow surface scratches to one side. Interior displays general light tarnishing. Thimble- Fair condition with hallmarks rubbed but clear and legible. Sugar scoop- Good condition with light surface scratches and rubbing commensurate with age and use. The spoons appear in varied state, many poor.
