A late Victorian playing cards box, of plain rectangular form having hinged lid with spherical thumb-piece opening to a compartmentalised interior. Hallmarked Samuel Jacob, London 1899. Height 3 inches (7.5 cm), weight 3.68 ozt (114.5 grams).
