Lot Description

An Edwardian silver vesta case, with foliate scroll decoration throughout and a monogrammed and dated shield cartouche to the front, hallmarked J H Hillcox, Birmingham 1908. Together with a continental lighter and two medallions, one hallmarked Birmingham 1912, the other unmarked. Gross weight of vesta and hallmarked medallion 66.5 grams. (4).

All four items display general wear including surface scratches and nicks, contact marks and some tarnishing. Wear to the plating on the lighter. Some minor dints to the vesta. The hinged lid of the vesta appears in good working order. The hallmarks, where present, are clear and legible.
