A late Victorian silver water jug, of baluster form, raised on a circular foot rim, with inverted lip, the hinged lid and ebony handle with scrolling grip. Hallmarked Edward Bardnard & Sons Ltd, London 1900. Height 7 1/8 inches (18.1 cm), weight 8.32 ozt (258.6 grams).

Condition Report
Fair overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. hallmarks significantly rubbed, legible. The maker's mark is very worn, illegible to the outside of the main body. Small and few larger dents to body. Foot ring very slightly dented, the piece rocks slightly on a flat surface. Wear to coating on ebony handle.
