A late Victorian 18ct gold diamond snake ring. Designed as two entwined snakes, each with old-cut diamond crest and gem-set eyes. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct, I-K colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1880. Weight 9.6gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. One small stone deficient. Band slightly off round. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. Small light and dark inclusions can just be seen with the naked eye. The red-gem accents have a dark red colour and heavy abrasion. Makers mark reads M&M. Approximate ring size P.
