Lot Description

A late 19th century coral, cultured and split pearl star brooch. The cultured pearl, within an oval and circular coral cabochon surround, to the split pearl accents. Length 3.4cms. Weight 5.4gms. With associated case.

Overall condition fair. Some surface wear, light scratches and discolouration in keeping with age. Replacement brooch fittings. Coral cabochons have a white surface discolouration throughout. Replacement cultured and split pearls. Differ slightly in appearance. Creamy yellow to creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones. Fairly good skins with some surface blemishes.
