Lot Description

An 18ct gold emerald and diamond necklace. The rectangular-shape emerald and brilliant-cut diamond floral cluster suspended from a similarly-set surmount and fine-link chain. Estimated total diamond weight 1.35cts. Hallmarks for Birmingham. Length 44cms. Weight 5gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with slight wear. The emeralds are fairly well matched for colour with a bright slightly yellowish-green with strong saturation and typical clarity, some inclusions are surface reaching. One emerald has chips to the edge near claws. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. Some diamonds have small light coloured inclusions that can be seen under magnification. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
