Lot Description
A mid 19th century gold foil-back topaz pendant. The ovoid-shape foil-back pink topaz, within a scrolling foliate mount suspending a graduated foliate fringe, to the scale-link chain with oval-shape foil-back pink topaz spacer. Length of pendant 7cms. Length of chain 47cms. Weight 23.4gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Small chip to reverse of larger topaz, at tip. The clasp is a hexagonal barrel clasp with foliate motif. The chain has a small plain loop to secure/support the gem-set spacer. Slight wear to few of the links. The suspension loop for the pendant shows the construction to the reverse, with slight discolouration. The gem mounts show very slight dents. Minor deterioration to the foil backing. Approximate dimensions of topaz: 25 by 12.5mms and 11.7 by 8.3mms. Depths impossible to assess due to closed back settings.
